Top of the M Revolving Restaurant (Meritus Mandarin)

Where else?... Mandarin Meritus Orchard road opposite HMV. A costly French restaurant place to dine, but need to give a try to have a 360 degree view of Singapore business district. The way it revolves is not that smooth though, but I like the Filipino trios who sings there with guitar and oboe (you can request for a song too, next time ill request tagalog song).

King Prawns. Two (2) jumbo king prawns flavored with sage as its base with garlic cream sauce. Deliciously good for S$54. They used rock salt to which made the taste good, tender and juicy.

Crepes Suzette. For dessert I had crepes with orange juice and and Grand Marnier, and was prepared fresh next to our table. It costs S$32 and it is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. See the picture clip of the cook with pan on fire, cool.

Ichigo

Ichigo (authentic Japanese restaurant) is located along River Valley road next to Liquid Kitchen which is at the corner of River Valley and Zion road. My favorite orders are in sequence.

Tsukune. Grilled skew chicken balls of my favorites are in sequence: Avo Mayo (avocado with mayo), Okonomiyaki style, and Radish, these are just toppings of the chicken which makes it more delicious. One stick may vary from S$3 to S$3.50 and minimum order of two sticks. I recommend their tsukune, its one of their specialties.

Endamame. Green soybean. For my muscle soybean!!!! Let it be green! and steamy hot. Like pringles motto.. 'once you pop, you can't stop!' same as this endamame. For only S$5 to satisfy your craving of endamame.

Onyasai. Steamed vegetable with chicken miso sauce. Damn this veggies are really good with the sauce! Carrots, pumpkin, beans, and cauliflower. It costs S$12.

Ebiage Orange Sauce. Shrimp in orange sauce might come pricey, 4 pieces of shrimp (maybe tiger prawn) costs S$15 but really is delicious with a nice presentation.

Thai Smile Cafe

Thai Smile Cafe is located along Lor Telok, a good place to eat after working out (search in streetdirectory 'One George Street', next to it is Lor Telok). They serve authentic Thai food. Whenever i workout at Fitness First Plus at One George and I wanna eat, i invite my gym buddies to eat here.

Minced Chicken with Basil. This is one of my favorite Thai dish, not that too spicy. The minched chicken is mixed basil leaves and some chilli for a price of S$12 and can be served for 2. It goes with pineapple rice or plain rice.

Tom Yam Soup. This makes my tummy feel a bit upset in the next morning (hehehe), because I don't have a Thai tummy perhaps (tsk tsk). This is really spicy and good, makes me sweat while eating and sipping the soup. I like the seafoods: prawn, squid and fish in the soup. It costs S$3.

Coming back... 05-2008

Fresh Coconut Juice. I enjoyed their fresh coconut juice. Nicely served. The coconut was also soft from the inside which was so good to eat after scraping with a spoon... and drink the juice! Feels like holiday.. lol. This costs S$3.50.

Phad Thai. One of famous Thai dish is Phad Thai. Since this branch is owned by Thai and cooks are Thai as well so I believe the recipe and the preparation is very Thai. Nicely served with nuts and chili on the side of the plate, so it is up to the person who ordered whether to mix the noodle with it or not. The noodle is also topped with shrimps and mixed bean sprouts. The taste is a bit of sweet, salts, and spicy... mix them all then, hmmmmmm.... Good!

Fried Tofu. One of my favorite snacks.... tofu!!! I was surprised that I ordered small and it looked big size for me. It was a lot.... I guess. For only S$5, I get this a lot of tofu slices. Nicely fried and the sweet chili sauce give a wonderful taste! Delicious! So good to eat specially after workout.... well... Fitness First is just around the area. So why not power-up some tofu after workout?

Max Brenner

Max Brenner located inside Esplanade Mall.

Chocolate Fondue. Enjoying the fondue with Foyan and Wit after dinner for dessert. Large size for S$30 (Mid is S$20) comes with two (2) saucer of fruits and one (1) saucer of diced bread and marshmallows with three type of chocolate dip: white, dark and regular chocolates. Fruits are sliced bananas and strawberries. I prefer the strawberries and dark chocolate as dip though, to lessen the sweetness.

Chicken Reload. My favorite chicken salad in pesto sause. They sell in small (S$5.90) and large (S$8.00) for variants of salads. You can make your own too, by choosing what ingredients to include. They put in in a box if you are familiar in Thai in a box, same concept is used.

Lau Pa Sat

Located in between Tanjong Pagar and Rafles MRT along Robinson Street. Built in 1894 and the largest remaining Victorian filigree cast-iron structure in Southeast Asia. Located in the heart of Singapore's business district.

Satay. When my folks visit me here in Singapore, I bring them here and order satay. Satay is one of my favorite food to order here at stall 7 and 8. Usually I order, chicken, mutton and beef, what makes satay taste good is the peanut sauce (well I can finish all peanut sauce hehehe). Why stalll 7 and 8? Because their stay is tender compared to some stall and sometimes I can ask for free rice cake. Satay sticks costs S$10 for 15 sticks of any variaties.

Jack's Place has one branch at Marina Square.

Rib Ey Steak (Executive Lunch). First of all thanks to my colleague Rose for the treat for her post birthday celebration.
